 Things I am Grateful For...

Please enjoy these bits of wisdom and feel free to pass them along.

"The essence of all beautiful art, all great art, is Gratitude" - NIETZSCHE

When we develop a right attitude of compassion and gratitude,

we take a giant step towards solving our personal and international problems.

 Dalai Lama

NEVER MIND THE STARES-
If I'm going to do something that could be provocative or artistically
relevant, I have to be prepared to put myself in a place where I feel
unsafe, not completely in control.  I have no fear of failure
whatsoever, because often out of that uncertainty something is
salvaged, something that is worthwhile comes about.  There is no
progress without failure.  And each failure is a lesson learned.
Unnecessary failures are the ones where an artist tries to second guess
an audience's taste and little comes out of that situation except a
kind of inward humiliation.  -  David Bowie

NEVER BE AFRAID TO TAKE A HIT-
There is a popular notion that great actors have to be brave and
willing to suffer.  And while that's true, strangely I find the harder
thing is to be brave enough to be simple, to stop when you've done it.
That is more frightening than anything. The scenes where it's required
that you turn your guts inside out and just bleed publicly are not
anywhere near as difficult as the simple moments.  Those take more
bravery, I think, than the gut-wrenching screams or the crying.  -
William H. Macy

LETTING GO

The thing to really work on is relaxing and having fun.  Take the conscientious thinker out of the mix.  Find a simple easy physical life and get lost in real thoughts instead of getting it right.  When all else fails, really listening and responding with organic thoughts is the ultimate answer.  It all boils down to repetitious practicing NOT getting it right.  A great exercise is to, in every possible life situation, choose letting go and having fun.

JD Lewis

CHARACTER IS:

Persevere against discouragements. Keep your temper. Employ leisure in study,
and always have some work in hand. Be punctual and methodical in business, and
never procrastinate. Never be in a hurry. Preserve self–possession, and do not be
talked out of a conviction. Rise early, and be an economist of time. Maintain your
dignity without the appearance of pride; manner is something with everybody,
and everything with some. Be guarded in discourse, attentive, and slow to speak.
Never acquiesce in immoral or pernicious opinions. Think nothing in your conduct
unimportant or indifferent. Set rather than follow, examples. Always practice
temperance; and in all your transactions remember the final account.

Each situation in your life exists for your spiritual growth and
evolution and when you are ready to acknowledge the wisdom with
which you organize the scenarios of your life, you will learn to
love each situation. Then you can become aware of its lessons, know
and learn them and love them free.

Once you learn to love the experience, it has fulfilled its mission
in your life and can depart from you. But as long as you continue to
hate, judge, resent, run away from or ignore it, it will exist and even
intensify as it mirrors everything you dislike about it. Is it good or
bad, right or wrong, beneficial or harmful, short term or permanent -
all of these are judgments that will only result in the continuation
of the circumstance.

Instead, ask your Self, 'what do I need to learn from
this' and you will take the first step on the path to freedom.
Each difficult experience that you have is a mirror of a fear in
your life - discover the fear and the reason for its existence and
it has no power over you and then ceases to exist unless you allow
it to. The more dire the situation, the greater your need to learn
and appreciate its lesson and heal that aspect of your belief system.

Once you acknowledge that you created the reality, it loses
its power because it is the paradigm that you built, not the result
of someone else's actions against you. Then you can love it free and
move on to create other realities that are more peaceful, joyful and
fulfilling. No matter what the circumstance, if you can learn to
love it, you can free yourself from it and move forward on your journey.

all that is divine and all that is earth. Do not wait, hoping someone will give you what Give yourself what others in your life have not been able to give y

Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that can dis-empower them or one that can literally save their lives.

Wishing
By Wishing ONLY Well, you make your own world AND the whole world better. It's neither altruistic nor selfish....it's logical! You reap what you sow. Of course that doesn't mean thatexactly what you did will be done to you. That would be too easy. It means that you will never know the exact moment that you will shine or will fall, depending on how you live your life.Choose the high road, and expect the best. You create your own world, and by extension the whole world, every minute.
